"When you find a restaurant with one or two choices on the menu, you know they have something special. And they know it. What you get here is tender chicken falling off the bone, tasty rice and sauces, and a side salad. Several choices of hot sauce as well. Only knocking them for the atmosphere because it's a small place that feels a bit thrown together, but that shouldn't detract from the reason you'll go here: to have some excellent chicken and rice."

"Great little hole in the wall! My husband and I went to Portland for one day and were looking for unusual delicious lunch. Well, we found it! He got the chicken, I got the beans and we were both thrilled! The hot sauces were yummy, the flavors were interesting and delicious! We will definitely be coming back!"

"This little gem is great! The chicken is super tender and spiced good enough to not need any of the array of hot sauces! Rice is good and meal comes with a salad. Sauces can get extremely hot so don't go overboard the first time out.. they recommend original and prickly pear which was just enough heat and flavor. Staff was very pleasant, customers were steady coming through the door and they were friendly with them all. Great food and I fully recommend giving them a try."

"The food is amazing, and I highly recommend adding the chicken gravy to the their dirty rice as recommended. I tried their Fiery habanero sauce which lived up to the name, and added a rich warmth to the meal. It is a very small, austere space, but the folks working there were so passionate and joyous about their food it made for a wonderful atmosphere to share a meal."

Happy to say it was delicious and kept us full most of the day! Sad to say I'm not a local, so I won't be able to visit all the time :( If you're in Portland, definitely consider getting food here."
